Has anyone used mllk paint an a turning? I have seen some pictures of it’s use one parts of turnings and it looks really interesting, giving an almost ceramic effect. It seems more popular over the pond but one or two brands appear to be available here. I would be interested in anyone’s experiences using it. Coloured Gesso’s are available readily in art shops , and although I’ve only used black and white colours in these, the effect looks to be similar to milk paint?

I used it when on a course with Nick Agar. As you say, gives a flat, ceramic look / feel. Takes a bit of work to apply as best results need rubbing down in between several coats.
