Microsoft word 2008

I was wondering if I could still get microsoft word 2008 and if so where. The reason for this is that I have this installed on my mac along with the latest version but I want this for a friend who is 300 miles away and who has a windows PC. I use this program to design name signs and at the moment I am doing my friends signs for her and she is very keen to have her own so she can do them herself. Many of the features in the 2008 version are not in the mnore up to date ones. Many thanks in advance.

All the features of 2008 are in the latest (2013) version but not where they were !

We can't even buy it now (Microsoft Gold partner) or 2010 for that matter so you would have to look for second hand I'm afraid

If you are struggling, I can send you a copy of office 2007 which has Word amongst other programs.

Or if you prefer, I could find you a copy of office 2010 or maybe even office 2013.

I may very well be wrong but when I was working remotely with someone who had only Mac I found that saving my stuff as "x.rtf" (rich text format) enabled my colleague to get all the info (including all the fomatting) I was sending him. This was instead of saving the file as "x.doc" of course:

So I wonder if that idea would "work in reverse" as it were - which is what I think you and your friend need.
