Does any one have experience of the Metabo TS250 table saw.
This model has been superseeded by the newer TS254 but is more expensive.

The TS250 can be had for as little as £340 and I have seen an excellent review of this saw.

I've got one. Had it for about 5 years.
In same segment as similar machines from Makita, Bosch, DW etc but has the worst fence of the bunch. Straight and solid once locked down but difficult to adjust accurately. Noisy but powerful brush motor. Reasonable extraction from underneath, dreadful from the blade guard - I've made a number of mods that greatly improved things. Came with an excellent blade.
I wouldn't buy another but it's not so bad that I've seriously thought about upgrading it.

From the promo video the new TS254 looks like it has a lot of new gadgets and features but doesn't seem enormously different to the 250. The fence is maybe an improvment.

Hope that helps.

I've got the Elektra beckum version before metabo bought them out , they're very good , solid and accurate.
