Memory Card Error

My camera (Cannon Power Shot A80, 4 Meg) reckons the memory card (Sandisk 128 CompactFlash) is corrupted, shows "Card Error" on the screen and zero memory. No pictures can be taken. Works fine with the standard Cannon 32meg card. The Sandisk always was a bit iffy - it showed the error message after about 60meg of pictures used, but ok up to that. Bin it? Or anything I can do?

Have you tried re-formating it? Should be in the manual somewhere. That should work.

If you reformat it, its normally recommended you do it in the camera, rather than in a compact flash socket in your PC.

I reformat my card every time I've uploaded a set of piccys to the PC.

Can't re-format with the Sandisk card, Canon card ok. Apparently a 5 year warranty on the card. Waiting for reply from Sandisk. Thanks for all the help anyway.
