Reading an advert in the traditional woodworking magazine on the sheppach ts2500 table saw it states that the maximum cut length is
405mm. I am fairly new to machinery, can somebody explain what this length of cut means ? Surely you need to cut longer lenghts than this stated amount, or does it imply crosscut size?
Even with carriage it only goes to 1400mm?

I just had a look at the Scheppach catalog, and the 405 measurement refers to the width of cut you can acheive with the standard table and rip fence. If you buy the table width extension, then you can extend this to 1100.

The length of the cut is (theoretically) unlimited for any tablesaw...

Having just had a look at my ts2500 I concur with Martin.
