hi lads can you sharpen the balde on on these old saws i bought 1 of ebay last night if not can you get new blades
it has a 14" blade

I would think the only problem with sharpening it would be holding it. Maybe it would be possible to devise something that clamps the blade leaving an inch or so exposed - sharpen five or six teeth, reset in the holder, sharpen the next five or six, reset in holder ... that sort of thing.

Flinn Garlick Saws sell 12" bowsaw blades; not sure about 14". Might be worth waiting until it's actually in your hand and checking length between pins. Failing that, maybe buy a suitable length of bandsaw blade and make to suit.

I made one from scratch, and found that a metalworkers vice held it well enough, with a couple of repositionings to do tbe whole blade.

I've sharpened my bow saw blades a number of times. I hate to admit it but I once did a coping saw blade!
I use a hand vice (or whatever they are called) and just move the blade along as needed.

They fit a normal saw vice fine.

Or just use bandsaw blade.
