I have no knowledge of these, but I see these are SQ2 - how many sizes are there?

Don't know for sure. I have four sizes: 0,1,2 & 3. The most popular size is the No 2 (Red Robbie) which fits say a size 8 or 4.00-4.5mm screw.

If you haven't used square screws give them a try they are brilliant. With a proper bit (not Makita!) they simply won't "cam out" like Pozidrive or Philips.

+1

Used them for decking and if I didn't already have a large stock of pozi's would use them more.

I read somewhere that both Pozidrive and Philips screws were both deliberately designed to "cam out" to protect both the screw and driver on factory assembly lines in the days before clutches on tools.

Surprising really that we still use them at all! I quite like Torx as well, better than Pozi but not as good as Square screws.
