Hi, does anyone have a Makita LS1019L mitre saw? I’ve noticed the last few days that the laser wobbles about when I start the saw and I’m worried that this is indicative of the shaft being loose/bent. I’m 90% sure that this is a new thing. I have replaced the blade with a new one and it is still doing it. It settles down once the saw is up to speed. The cut quality doesn’t seem to be affected
The saw is just less than a year old so I will see if it can be repaired/replaced under warranty, but I was hoping to speak to someone with this saw before I try to deal with Makita customer services

I doubt it's the shaft / bearing do they show signs of play?

More likely loose Lazer / contact.....

If you've bent the shaft, that would be covered under warranty anyway...

Most machines exhibit vibration during motor startup that goes away when up to speed, so I wouldn't worry about it if it's running and cutting smoothly. You could also check to see if any screws or fasteners fixing the laser module haven't come loose.
