Mahogany

Hi there

I have just seen an advert for two mahogany slabs 2 inch by 18 inch 6 foot long. How do I know if it is a legit Mahogany here?

Any idea how much it worth ?

1/ colour 2/ end grain 3/ smell

the photo you've shown looks more like walnut to me, it's hard to tell without a pretty high end camera/lens that captures a lot of detail including accurate colour and grain detail.
