What sort of magnification do most of you use when sharpening a handsaw?

The 2x magnification at 10" or the 2.5x at 8" seems to be about right.

I'm about to purchase a visor and don't want to choose the wrong lens.

Hi Dave.

I cut myself a piece of wood at the correct angles for the different saws.

Hope this helps.

ATB, Gary.

Gary,

I'm definitely going to use that approach! I've got a couple of sharpening tutorials saved for future reference.

Mine's all wrong, so don't ask me. I'm convinced it has the wrong lens and isn't what I ordered at all, but the supplier wouldn't agree so I'm stuck with it.

Cheers, Alf
