Lubricating wax

Ok please don't all rush to ritually humiliate the new boy. Maybe a stupid question, but here goes.

After applying Liberon lubricating wax to my machine beds, should I buff it off after it has dried ? Doesn't say to do it on the tin but I thought you may all need a laugh.
