Hi all

Got to thinking yesterday that although we all have this hobby in common, there are huge differences in what we do and how we do it - that's what makes this forum such wonderful place to visit

So I wondered what are your likes and dislikes? I think it would be more interesting to keep it down to a max. of 2 of each

Start the ball rolling with:

Likes
Cutting joints by hand (particularly Dts) - I love the concentration required
Hand planing - almost therapeutic!! (and I love the 'glow' it leaves on the wood  )

Dislikes
Power sanding of any sort!!!! (not hand sanding, I quite like that)
The stress of big glue-ups

Likes:

and
Then ending up with what I planed to make

Dislikes:

Finding I cut the last bit of wood 1/2" too short.

I get most pleasure from making small simple toys for my Grandchildren, I love it when they want me to play as well, me still a big kid, of course.

Its got to be sanding a bit of a kop out as I cannot think of anything else
