Not the sheppachs or Elektra Beckums, nor the ferms or clarkes but something in between.

On the more expensive side is this offering from bosch http://www.ishop.co.uk/ishop/982/shopscr2135.html
but I found out it has a brush motor. At this price ( can be found@£499.00) I was a bit disappointed it didn't have an induction motor.

I understand Ryobi are a fair tool maker so this interests me ( though a site saw)http://www.powertoolwarehouse.co.uk/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/6/products_id/126

Any comments or additions

The elektra beckum site saw is good and probably cheaper than this one if you are going down this alley.

Well, I can see this thread has kicked up a hell of a storm

Yup, tempted by the EB, though the record 12" table saw seems pretty good ( with a few mods). Sliding carriage , have heard more good than bad though it does have its detractors.

There is loads of info about it though including reviews and setup help

Do these site saws have the grooves for mitre jigs?

Discounted the kity cos of some iffy reviews generally on their products though have read some good ones too.

Trouble is you look hard enough and there are always negatives when you are spending the suggested sought of money whatever the selection :(
