Looking for places to get quotes for small projects

Hi, I'm new to this forum, so please tell me if I am out-of-line. I have read the global forum rules, but wish to clarify
I am in the business of selling wooden products, but that is not why I have joined.

I often have small (£50) or medium (£500) projects I am looking to get made, but find it hard to find the right type of woodworker for the project. If I wanted furniture, it would be easy to find local people, but for instance one project is simple but repetitive, I need 500 fairy doors made. A second project would need someone with CAD/CAM abilities to mill some prototype 3D shapes from walnut.

My question is this, is there a place on tne internet where projects can be posted and UK people/businesses can be invited to tender quotations?

Failing that, would it be to acceptable to post projects on this forum and invite people to contact me who might be interested?

I understand that 'selling' is not permitted on this forum and suspect that 'buying' would be similarly frowned upon, but I thought I would ask.

Selling is OK. There is a "For Sale" and a "Wanted" section which, I would have thought, is where your request could be posted, but I'm not a moderator.

This forum has a wide range of members, from occasional hobbyists to professionals with staff and busy workshops. There have been requests like yours before which generated some detailed discussion off-line and led to work being placed.

So I suggest you say a bit more about what you want and see if anyone is interested. We don't have a formal system for bidding for such work but you might get a response from someone looking for work.
