Location, Location (FAO Charley)

Hi Charley

Is it possible to make the location, on a profile, a mandatory field?

I find it interesting to see where people are located and it is particularly useful if you find two or three people are all suggesting the same solution, but it isn't available in the UK.

Obviously there are no checks so people could put in whatever they wanted.

What do you think?

Neil... don't get me wrong but, I canna help thinkin that a mandatory location wouldscare off any / all preferring a little annonimity. It's been my experience that if someone want's you to know where they are, they'll tell ya.... in their own time...

I don't see how a friendly site such as this one could ensure that the information given was accurate anyway. Come to that, even unfriendly sites would struggle in that respect !

I'm with Mike - let people offer up such personal information as they're prepared to make available. We should be grateful for the gift.

Agree with the tell if you want too, you never know this might encourage folks to confess where they live but I can understand why some folk would want to keep it a secret, fancy admitting to living in England :!: :!: :!: :!:
