Live coverage of ISS Spacewalk 3.00pm Monday 18th August

NASA TV http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/nasatv/ will be showing the Russian Spacewalk live, with commentary.
NASA TV coverage starts at 2.30pm Monday, but spacewalk expected to start at 3.00pm (approx.) lasting 6.5 hours.

To anyone watching this now - the view is dark because is orbiting on the Earth's night side - it orbits every 91 mins or so 45 mins will be in darkness. Once they get outside they normally illuminate the worksite, if needed.

For those with the ability to run Apps (like iphone / ipad users) try downloading the free ISS Tracker application. It shows where it is now, and also, for your position, when you can next see it in the night sky. I saw the ISS for the first time last night using the application. Very cool.

Right now, its heading NE towards South America, looks like it will enter sublight in 5 mintues or so.

The app has some very cool features. It knows where you are (from GPS), and gives you times of when it will next be visible (to the minute), how bright it will be, and a star map showing its path.
And its free !

The non-app alternative is http://www.heavens-above.com also free and will give the same info as the app, although you have to put in your location.
