Well there is something I never knew existed.

I think after learning to use right handed versions I would probably find it hard to use a left handed version now.
 
^Ditto. I've always found "normal" ones troublesome but have learned to live with them. Those would be worth buying if only to have on hand to let a righty try and use them. Nobody mention can openers!
 
It would put the read on the top facing the toolpost when working a lathe, that could be quite useful.

left handed Mic would be useful. :D (shhhh, don't tell him Pike).

Certainly would, the number of times digital or dial callipers won't sit close enough to the face of a piece to measure a shallow spigot with the readout in a convenient reading position is annoying.
Would save having to use basic callipers to transfer a reading.

Not sure I can justify yet another set though given the number I have already.
