Hello All!
I'm turning on my Lathe for a few projects, haven't used it in 10 years, I'd like to see what it takes to fit the Lathe with a combination face shield dust extraction shroud. The likelihood of a piece flying apart is slight but turning most anything creates shavings and that nasty airborne fine dust. Would anyone like to share suggestions or photos?
Thank you from this side of the pond!

You are looking for something like this with a sheet of Lexan across the front. It is pretty much a given that you will need to make it yourself, plywood will work. I suggest you also use the biggest ducting your DC can handle (6" flows 3 times as much as 4") to capture the fine dust. Also make a bell mouth shaped fitting to minimize the airflow disturbances into the ducting.
This video shows a hood only, 6". If making a fixed setup like the above it smooths the airflow from the flat plywood into the duct.

Pete
