I am looking for a large Tri square for marking out wide boards.
Has anybody got any ideas who might make one.
I would prefer one in plastic or metal rather than
making one in wood.

You don't say how wide a board you want to mark out but for sheet goods I usually mark out a 345 triangle and cut to the line. If I want to do a lot of marking, I will make a wooden T-square just for the job and usually junk it after as they don't stay square for very long.

For a very good manufactured square I have found the Johnson Drywall T-square to be as accurate as any and very versatile with its adjustable stock.

You can see one here http://www.books4geeks.com/inone/B00002N5OK.shtml

I bought mine here http://www.thanettools.com/tts.htm (they don't really have a website despite what it says but they do answer the phone). I guess you can get them in many places these days.
