Does anyone have first-hand experience with this product? If so, interested to hear your thoughts. Expensive luxury or major upgrade?

Looks like a bit of a faff to install but the micro-adjustment system is appealing for very precise ripping & resawing (especially veneers).

@Nick Laguna UK - is this available to buy in the UK/EU?

Cheers.

Would be interested to see a poor mans solution to this.
One more vote for the bog standard square fence rail here, much better IMO,
should you need the full throat size for crosscutting.

The Driftmaster seems likely it's still not quite as foolproof as it may seem, since the jointed stock is still liable to move about, and guessing difficult to say acquire a hefty enough beam like a sleeper which would have enough mass to resist movement
compared to say the little ripper jig, not that that's perfect either.

Definitely seems odd to have an aluminium extrusion which doesn't seem to my eyes to be so skookum, but it probably is more than strong enough for the job of making a slip on fence which might be affixed in some other way other than bolts through it,
as this innovation is strictly aimed for the short fencers...
Possibly another opportunity to sell an add on short fence instead?

With carbide blades being available for similar money to a standard blade these days, or soon enough if ya just can't speak Chinese, seems that there maybe a market for this sorta thing on this side of the pond soon.

Hopefully this turns into an interesting thread.
Cheers for posting

Have a look at this video. It includes a shop-made adjustable fence to take account of blade drift with very good advice on how how to set it up.
