The next challenge is to build 30 Koji trays.

They ( herself - and others ) say Koji is a type of mould.
I suggested they went to the local tip - but that didn't go down well !
Groan !!

Why do I agree to do this ?

They need to be made from Japanese Cedar - not easy to find in Aus.
I will need to do 120 "square holes " and 120 Tenon joints.
Again groan !

Looks like I might need to see whether I can "recover" a tenon attachment for the Sicma thicknesser.

Here we go again !

One day I will build another steam engine !

Just jumped from the celtic harp thread!
I had to look up "koji tray" never having heard of them.
Oddly enough I've been making them for some time, but not for koji, just as useful boxes for sorting stuff, and as an exercise in dovetails.
If I was going to make the square tenon version I'd wonder about cutting the M&Ts first in a large blocks and then slicing them into the side components - all ready with M&Ts.
Or if doing it all by hand I'd use a beam clamp to hold down say 20 side pieces and cut them all half though in one sitting, then turn them to finish the cut. Also a good way of using up useless offcuts!

These are a bit scruffy having been in use, made of of random offcuts and not cleaned up. But really useful.
I wondered about trying to sell perfect new ones as it's quite a nice little job to do.

PS 230 x 330mm internal measurements good for A4 paper and file sizes. Height was random - according to offcuts available
