Hi all,
I am newbie. I have returned from living in Australia and the blade guard for my Kity 636 planer/thicknesser is missing. This is the plastic one, yellow I think, that covers the block when in use. Anyone got any idea where I might access one please?
Have enjoyed browsing site and sense there are many hours of happy browsing for me!
I seem also to be without my router fence. It fits over the contractor saw fence, my router table is incorporated into the cast iron wing of the table. Can't afford to buy one and wonder if anyone has made a wooden version that works? Any help will be gratefully received.

Hi David
In the UK, Kity are dealt with by NMA in Yorkshire. They may be able to help you. But Kity themselves are no more so you may struggle.
OTOH, the blade guard itself is a simple shape and you could easily make one by beating a piece of sheet steel over a rolling pin, for example.
