Kity 3 636 planer/thicknesser (versus kity 2 636)

I'm looking at buying a Kity 3636 but searched and cannot find anything that lists the differences between the old kity 3636 (about 15 years old) and the 2636 (which is still available).

Is there someone who can help please?

Haven't a clue but these small differences are usually the beds. Perhaps the older version has cast beds and new pressed aluminium or similar......but this is a complete guess

Mr Yorke - thanks for 'guess' - I've now passed on the machine since it was an unknown quantity (and some concerns about availability of parts elsewhere on the forums) ... Colin
