Hi all ,
I am hoping to convert a small table in our house into a computer desk and need some advice on the runners for the keyboard shelf, are they just normal draw runners or are special runners used, if so can anyone point me to a supplier.

Thanks in advance for any help.

It all depends on what you want , normal draw runners are fine but if you want to touch the shelf and have it pop out then you need an extra to the shelf and it goes on  . Screwfix should show you a basic range .

The problem with using "draw"runners is that they willl not stay in the open position, even the full extension runners.

The keyboard runners have a "stop" that holds them in the open position. They also come with adjustable brackets that space them down from the underside of the worktop although they can be side mounted.

Screwfix have a very poor range of runners, try one of these two.

Hi Jason

The drawers for my keyboards are just the conventional type yet they stay open quite happily. Perhaps that's because the drawers themselves are quite substantial, both being at least 18mm thick.
