I have renewed my Kaspersky internet protection and downloaded and installed it. However the old version keeps popping up to tell me that it's about to expire. It has now expired and i have no protection.

Kaspersky offer a phone line which is 10p per minute from a BT landline or 'significantly higher' from other companies. Their online support consists of a computer generated question and answer system that leads you round in time wasting circles and back to the extortionate phone line!!

Furious.com!!!!!!!

Have you tried bashing the # key, in alot of cases this will eventually put you through to a person.

Kaspersky have a removal tool which can be used to clean kaspersky from your machine.

Read the instructions because you need to boot your computer into safe mode before you use it

Once its removed just reinstall and activate with your activation key. Hope that helps

Thanks John. Just spoken to their help line. He's sending me an email with all the answers to my problems, fingers crossed.

All sorted now. Phew! Infuriating that I have to pay silly phone rates to correct their software!

For consideration the next time your AV software expires, remove it completely and use the security software that comes with Windows.... its free!!!!

I have never had any problems with it and I switched about three years ago.

It depends I suppose on how you use the internet, if you go to dodgy sites for illegal software and (ahem) other stuff then I think you increase your risks.

You can get attacked by an email from a friend. I think it's best to be on guard regardless whether you go to dodgy sites or not.
