k5 saw blade size

my k5 came with two Freud blades, both 185 mm, 1 is still in the packet and the fitted blade is in good nick.
I see on the Blurb that a 200mm blade was available. Could someone please confirm that a 200mm rip blade will function safely, in the kity k5 saw bench? TIA. Regards Rodders

Depends possibly which one you have as I can't vouch for the ealiest version. Mine is an eighties model and I run 200mm blades without problems so any machine from then onwards is a yes.

Make sure you get the right bore though as they changed if I remember.

Thanks for the reply Lons.
It's nice to hear from someone having used a 200mm blade in a k5. Looks to be fairly snug in there for 200mm.
Not sure the manual/instructions pdf are exactly my year.
I Just wanted some cheepie "nail" blades
