Being a techy I am joined to a few big forums across the net and have noticed that most forums have an 'Off Topic' area, like we do here. It's just a bit of fun, but generally this area is given a topical name. Mostly this is a pub name. Like 'The Dog and Duck', 'Frog and Radiator', etc. I thought it might be a nice idea to have that here. Moderators or even Members could come up with an idea. Something like 'The Carpenters Arms' ?

Also, what about a Technical Drawing area? Lots of members seem to be getting into Sketchup and TurboCAD. Might be good for users to ask questions aimed at those more skilled in the subject.
