Hi All,
I am planning on building a copy of a Wurlitzer Prince or Princess Jukebox as a project for GWW.
It will have a 10 disc cd player housed instead of the old style record player.
I have priced a few of the parts required from a wurlizter dealer which are pretty expensive.
I am after the chrome grill....the upper plastic arch and the inner plastic arch and the chrome crowns.

question is anyone here know where i would be able to get the bits at a reasonable price.....or do you think its worth spending the £600 just for the front plastic parts from a dealer.

regards

Ian

open to suggestions on what to build

Ian,

No idea where you might get them but if you could borrow one, it might be possible to cast a copy from it fairly easily, using metallised casting resin. I have seen carvings copied in that way and the material buffs up like bronze, coppper, steel and so forth.
