Hi oh wise ones. I have moulded some rail out of ash in 3m lengths. One of the places its going needs a piece adding. What is the best, least conspicuous way to join the two bits? The place this long piece is going is not the straightest and has a slight kink where a doorway once was. Would it work if I did some thin cuts with the bandsaw on the back side. Also can any one offer any tips for the mitre cuts when taking the rail up a stair case. I always seem to bodge this bit and the pattern of the moulding doesn't match correctly.
