John Brown

John Brown wrote an excellent book about his way of making Welsh Stick Chairs some 10 years ago and went on to write occasionally for Good Woodworking magazine.

Is he still at it? Has he got another book out?

According to GWW at the end of last year, he's now attending a local art college and just making the occasional chair. I must admit I miss his luddite ways too. Too bad nothing came of the "Anarchist Woodworker" book that he was going to write. At least I assume nothing's come of it. Andy King? We know you're out there; fill us in would you? No chance of a compilation of his articles in book form I suppose? :? No, I didn't think so.

I'm glad to hear that he's still ploughing an individual furrow. His chair book is one of the most often read items in my woodworking library.

Incidentally, I like your site. I shall re-visit and spend some more time.
