Jet Table saw.

I have a Jet table saw JTS-600XM. Its done a fair bit of work.

It has become somewhat noisy when running.

Turning the blade slowly by hand, there is a click every half rotation of the blade. I can move the blade back and forwards maybe one eight turn before I pick up the slack.

I'm very busy at present working 12 hour days so don't want to mess with it unless necessary.

However if the wisdom of the board says it needs attention then it would benefit me to look into it before it becomes a bigger problem.

1/8 turn of backlash in the gear box indicates significant wear. You might get spare parts but for a 10 ish year old machine there might not be available.
When it fails it will be catasrophic so if having a running saw is important then make plans now.

I've had a look and think it would be prudent to replace the shaft and pulley. Axminster have the shaft but not the pulley. I've waited a week and they still don't have it. Where else could I try?

Sounds very much like there possibly is wear on the keyway/pulley
I bought my saw untested, and found out when I got home.
The wear was caused by an out of center pulley.
I made it difficult for myself though, as you can get pulleys now that don't need a keyway, so could have saved myself much time and effort.
