I bought a JCB ⅓ sheet Sander at B&Q a couple of years ago. It now needs a new velcro spongy bottom sheet holder - it has detached itself from the metal base plate. This is not a fault, it is not a broken part, it is a reusable part that needs replacing. It is a part with self adhesives strips that sticks on to the metal base plate. B&Q do not stock such reuseable spare parts for JCB and neither does anybody else. I phoned both numbers for JCB. The first one told me that they do not supply spare parts but they can look online to see where I can buy one. I replied that surely JCB can tell me about JCB spare parts but that did not produce any sensible reply. The second phone call to a different number told me the the problem is that all these JCB tools are not made by JCB and I will have to return the tool to B&Q who then have to return it to the ( unknown and secret ) manufacturer for repair. The tool itself is ok, nothing special. The after sales service makes is a nonsense. Be warned !

look up silverline sanders and see if one matches.
JCB sell their name for lots of other companies to use (so does almost every other company including snap-off), it's a good business stream for them and it's nothing unusual I'm afraid. if you were ringing them about a CX3 needing a new drive shaft they'd be a bit more helpful I'm sure. :)

Try www.toolsparesonline.com

Look for a sander that looks like yours. I've bought spares for my clarke sander from there, even though it doesn't say it's for Clarke brands
