Hello People.

I have built a great deck on the back of my house and it is missing furniture.

I would love a jack and jill chair on there. Does anyone have any plans?

I will share images of mine during and after the build to help others who would like to make the same.

I can't help with the plans but welcome to the forum.

There is a raft of expertise on here, so undoubtedly someone will be along to help you out shortly.

Thanks for the welcome David.

I'm sick of buying what I thought was really nice patio furniture, for it to fall apart within a couple of years. So, I want to build my chairs out of something substantial.

I'm now actually thinking of making a jack and jill version of this… well I would have posted a link, but the forum says I don't have permission to do so :(

Vince,
Welcome to the forum.
I don't know the answer, but someone here will, I am sure.
If you post, I think it is three times, you will be able to post a link.
It's to protect the site from spam, etc.
Cheers

I totally agree with your predicament re cheap furniture.

On a slight variation, I was a couple of years ago being dragged around the shops like a petulant child by SWMBO. We were in a Laura Ashley shop when I noticed a six drawer chest of drawers, (4 main drawers and two half drawers) Anyway, i had a look at it, it was constructed entirely from MDF with the drawer joinery just butt jointed with screws..

It was priced at a measley £999.95.

I guess premium prices doesn't always guarantee quality craftsmanship or materials.
