Never the less we can all take comfort from Dr Viner's statement that our children will rarely see snow. I'll bet he wishes he kept had his mouth shut now!

I have to admit we haven't got a pool, but it was warm and sunny here yesterday as well, and no snow yet.
British weather commentators seem to work by looking out of their office windows in central London and if it's snow to the horizon then it's a case of 'Britain in Siberian Freeze!
We've had two days of sub zero weather thus far this winter. We have Fuschias, Snow Drops and Daffodils in bloom.
Rooks are pairing off in our garden and Collared Doves billing and cooing as well.

Frightening ain't it? I've closed the workshop for the evening and my whizz bang electronic thermometer says it 8.5 C outside.
