So a couple of months ago I picked up this hand drill for a fiver I think with the intention of perhaps using it in my workshop and haven't so am considering selling it.

Doing a bit of research online it seems most have a makers mark on the crank handle but mine does not. It has miller's falls stamped onto the chuck with "miller falls pat d sept" then a number I can't quite make out. Photos don't make it look very clear either

But was wondering if perhaps a miller's falls chuck could be fitted onto another similar looking drill or if their thread was only for miller falls drills.

Anyway here's some photos and would appreciate some opinions on it. I'll obviously give it a clean before I sell it

At a quick glance, I'd say that the shape of the handle and the big cast bevel gear are also distinctive to Miller's Falls.
If you are lucky, the top bit of the big handle unscrews to show a space for bits.

Loads of details at George's Basement, which I expect you found already.

What Andy said. To the letter.
I think it's Bod who is the Millers Falls man. Might be wrong. PM?
Lovely tool Doris. Well done.
Say hello to the bigman. Hope you are both well.

A real shame as that was where most information was.
