Hi folks, hope the world is well with you.

I might have to make and veneer a unit to go in a bathroom, never done any proper veneering before. Unit would be mrmdf based veneered with possably a solid wood top. Would iron on veneer be suitable or should I go the whole hog and glue up some stuff from scratch ( )?? Unit would be finished with several coats of a good varnish.

Any thoughts??

Cheers.

No problem with iron-on real wood veneer. If you have a lot to do, invest in a small travelling iron (about £5) they are lighter and won't cause havoc with swimbo. Use greaseproof paper under the iron, it slides easier and doesn't damage the wood, and follow with a block of wood to make sure the edges are stuck down.
