Hi all,

When I moved in to my outdated dilapidated house, I changed all the doors and could only afford the cheap £20 hollow moulded doors from Wickes. I now want to change them to solid ones because too much noise is let through from room to room/hallway etc.

A lot of the online door websites don't give enough info, and the last thing I want is to order some that are not much of An iimprovement on the rubbish I have now.

Does anyone have any experience with doors etc?

Cheers.

where are you based? i know a good door man (seller) but he is in leeds.

The best doors I have bought have been from architectural salvage yards, but I was wanting doors to match the date of our house (1897). Well worth a look though - because they tend to be locally focussed, you have a decent chance that something suitable for your style and date will be available. What period is your house?
