Hi,

A quick thought... do you people have separate insurance for your sheds/workshops or do you rely on your household contents insurance? I was doing an inventory and was quite shocked when I added up the value of the tools that I've acquired.

If you have separate insurance, where do you get it from & what cost?

thanks
Chris

My workshop is now away from home, but when it was at home its contents were seperately insured from the house. I took out a policy that covered the workshop, but also covered public/product liability, stock insurance etc.

know where I get get a separate insurance - I only need replacement costs, not public liability since I am an amateur (but it might be useful anyway)

Have a look through the woodworking and craft magazines. The broker that I use is "Ian Wallace", they advertise in most magazines.

Hope this helps
