Just been sent these pics from Texas USA via Germany, thought they may be of interest to the scrollsaw brigade.

Looks like a laser is the next toy Gill.

These egg shells were cut with a high intensity precision Laser Beam.

Chas,

Someone has spent a lot of time doing those, if it was me I would be in trouble for playing with my food.

Wish I could draw let alone carve, must be nice to have an artist skill. 8)

Wow - amazing stuff!

You must have to be pretty good to visualise what you are going to make before you start - way beyond me

Chas, you weren't supposed to tell anyone that I've been moonlighting :^o :-$ .

I've already investigated laser cutters and come to the conclusion that if I can't afford a Jet 10-20+ sander, I certainly won't be able to afford a laser. It's a pity, really; I could do a lot more with one than preparing food.

Brilliant, Chas!
The eggshells are little miracles, amazing.
What finish would you use after carving a melon? Double cream?
Cheers
Philly :D
