It went for £207.66.

I did have a bid and was winning it until the last few seconds for £135 but didn't think it was worth more. According to my last enquiry to Woodworkersworkshop the current Ultra is priced at:

ULTRA16SYS Incra Jig Ultra System - 16" range £199.95
A complete system package
ULTRA24SYS Incra Jig Ultra System - 24" range £224.95
A complete system package
Complete System Package includes: - Incra Jig Ultra (16" or 24" model), 28" Incra Joinery Fence, Incra Stop Positioner, Incra Right Angle Fixture & 3/8" Box Joint Template, ½" Dovetail Template & Joint making instructions
So surely it makes more sense to buy a new one??? Or was I missing something, am not an expert on the Incra jigs.

I'm not familiar with the Ultra but the twin Linear comes with TWO separate finely adjustable fences and a humungous range of travel..It also comes with a high fence adaptor plate in addition to all the other goodies.

Not bad value at £200 or so as new it costs about £260-ish IIRC

It was mine. I did say a few months back that I would be selling it, but the mods wouldn't allow me to advertise the eBay link here, so
thanks to Roger for spotting it, thereby getting me more viewers I guess (I didn't ask him to btw).

As I said before it is a good fence if you want to do Incra-ish things and have the space, however I have grown out of the former  , and run out of the latter :?. Now all I have to do is find enough packing to get it safely through the post.

If the winning bidder is a member of the forum allow me to wish you all the best with it.

Colin, better luck next time.

I did see it and wondered if it was yours Nick as you said you where going to sell it when I came to see you :) .

Just to clarify things. The Forum rules state: -

"Members may not promote their own sales that are on other sites such as eBay."

The rule exists to stop people getting free advertising for their eBay sales.

However, the rules also state: -

"Once established as a member who contributes to the forum, we will allow private individuals to post that are looking to sell or buy an item. The thread must have FOR SALE in the title. As items move quickly within the forum, a member can bump such a thread back up to the top just once."

I hope this clarifies the position.

Cheers

Nick,

sorry not to get it but didn't have time to properly research the particular model. Often it's too easy to get into a bidding frenzy on ebay and was being careful at the time.

I'm not sure that banning promoting sales on ebay is a good thing but can understand that it could turn into a free-for-all. Personally I'd take comfort from knowing the seller's a well known member here. Am a member of a group of motor cycle enthusiasts that actually takes the trouble not to bid against each other on ebay but that's another story.

Anyway, I hope that you were pleased with the result.

regards

Colin

Well not quite but maybe...the title that is.

I have a twin linear and am thinking that it's too long for my uses now and so maybe get something smaller. I like the idea of a split fence and wondered what's available as it's been a while since I last looked.

Hi Colin, The bit that you are probably missing is the split fence and you would have to buy the Superfence system which would sting you for around £450, I have one but didn't pay that much, I bought it when the exchange rate was $2 to the £

Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

If I had something to sell that I thought would interest other members I would post it on here with the proviso that if there was no interest then it would go to Fleabay. Simple enough?
