When I bought my table saw second hand from this very place the previous owner threw in an Incra Mitre 3000 amongst other things as part of the package. The fence is only 18" long, so I don't know if this is the length of an older model or if it was cut down at some point. Either way I have my eye on one of the 27" to 49" telescoping fences (INC_FLPFN27-49).

However, before buying it I have a few questions / issues I wonder if anyone can help with.

I have tried all the Allen keys I own and cannot find one that fits the screws that attach the fence to the mitre gauge itself. Nothing obvious I can on the Incra website. Does anyone know what size Allen key I need to adjust the fence?

The mitre gauge has a little more play than I would like in the mitre slot of the table saw (I have checked the mitre slot is 0.757 inches wide, so inside the quoted tolerance for the bar to fit according to the Incra website). As I understand it I should be able to adjust the fit using the expansion disks in the mitre bar. However, again I can't find an Allen key that fits the adjusting screws for the expansion disks, does anyone know the size of the necessary Allen key?

Finally, if for any reason I need new expansion disks are these available as a spare part. Looked at Woodworkersworkshop website, but can't see this item on there.

Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Terry.

Thanks Macros, much appreciated. From the manual it appears to be a 1/4-20 socket head screw that adjusts the fence.

Annoyingly after two reads I can still not find any mention of the size of the adjustment for the expansion disks, so if anyone who has an Incra mitre gauge knows I'd be grateful for the information.

i actually have one- a 1000 variant. If i get a chance this evening, I will have a look, but you are probably going to have to get a set of imperial allen keys anyway. I presume that mine has the same adjustment disks.

That's brilliant, thanks Macros. As you say, I'll need to get imperial allen keys, but knowing my luck I'll buy a set with every size except the one I need.

Hi Terry
The allen key for attaching mitre gauge to fence measures 4.75mm, and the key for the expansion disks measures 2.31mm, across the flats. This is for the 3000SE.
