Impulse buy, is it any good?

So I've just bought a 2nd hand black and decker band saw with a spare blade, I paid 30 for it and pick it up this weekend. I've always thought black and decker are a good brand but for the last 15 years all my tools have been Makita or DeWalt. Are B&D still a good tool?

It looks to have an induction motor instead of a screaming brush motor.
It might make a good sander if you don't get on with it. Probably as good as any bench top bandsaw if the blades track alright.
Id say it could be worth shopping around for a blade if you have troubles with it.
