Same with a lot of that redwood burr that comes from the states. The Forest Service has a huge problem with burr poaching, so it's worth doing a bit of homework about where all this stuff that we like to use actually comes from.

I know of a situation where a very hard to obtain wood was made into pallets which were packed with a less hard to find wood and then delivered. The pallets were worth much more than the stuff shipped on them.
