Hey up all,

Picked up a couple of old hollow chisels and trying to workout the make. I think it say Monninger and has a logo of a guy and a hammer with the word ‘power’. Does that make sense?

At one time it was common for tool dealers to mark tools they sold with their own name

C D Monninger were a well known saw doctor and distributor of tooling.

Wm. Ridgway of Sheffield were a manufacturer of tooling such as auger bits and square chisel sets. They used the "Power" trademark (the man wielding a hammer). They merged with C & J Hampton (Record) in 1974 to form Record-Ridgway who also owned the William Marples company, having jointly bought that firm (on a 50/50 basis) in 1962

I'd say that makes it a Ridgway tool sold through Monninger
