In the eBay community forum, a UK member asked how they could contact eBay UK by phone. Since I had the number to hand, thought I'd help out and so posted it back in a reply.

Just got this message from an eBay Moderator ...

your post in the thread: How do I contact eBay uk by phone? has been edited due to violation of the Community Guidelines. Your post contained the following violation: Posting contact information.

The guidelines state: "Posting an individual's contact information or email address"

Bizarre. I am guessing that it is a robot automatically scanning replies. Wonder what else will make it blow its little fuses?

"At last I see a ***** in the armour" ?

"There's a nasty nip in the air" ?

God forbid anybody that should have the audacity to contact them on their contact number, what is the world coming to.

I wouldn't bother tying to contact them, there call centre is in the Far East, and there never that helpful when ever I have tried!

I think that that is why he wanted to speak to eBay UK !! Not that it exists as a physical entity.
