I need a sliding table for my router table, any ideas?

Thats a bloody good idea Lee!! You could even splash out and purchase another rail and attach it to you router table. Then you could just move the sliding table back and forth between the two!

I use a router table with a 2 T bar slots one near the fence and one much further away (Axminster sell T Bar lost and inserts http://www.axminster.co.uk/default.asp?part=MT0032), then on top of those I use a plywood base with toggle clamps and sliding fence to stop lateral movement.

I made this after experiencing the same problems as John albeit my problem was lifting of the piece by 0.5 mm for rail and style cutting occasionally. A variable end stop to hold the wood is in the design stages , but not realise yet.

That now works a treat
