I used to have an Apollo 800 HVLP. It was excellent. The turbine and hose grew legs but I do still have the Proline gun. I'm wondering whether I could power this professional gun with a cheap Earlex system. I realise I might have to change the coupler, but would it, in principle, be a viable setup?

I can't see why it would not work Steve. I don't think they are too fussy on V and P but you could possibly reduce it if needed in the coupler arrangement.
Maybe someone near you has an earlex you can try it out if you are concerned.

Thanks Bob, I'm inclined to try it. IIRC there is an air-flow adjuster on the gun. I never used it much as I didn't have a proper spray booth. Still don't actually, but at least now it will be easier to cobble together something useable.
