What I've done John, is to get one of those big, cast iron wood burners that you can find in any wood burner store and simply plumb it in to my existing floo.
And (here's the trick) instead of putting a bunch of candles in there, I set fire to wood - looks just like the real thing. :)

Oh dear I really think that I am going to have to get a big hammer out to get rid of this monstrosity and put one of those MDF wonders in :shock:

We have to put up with this

AND, to make things worse we are restricted to logs that have to be cut down to about 3 foot lenghts!
