A wall clock that runs in revers at one time they were in the barer shops positioned so that you could see them in the mirror so who remembers them my Granddad told me about them LOL

we've got one that runs in reverse but the numbers are not mirrored. I didnt realise there was a practical use for a backwards clock. we live and learn

More often than not it's a failure of the 'kick start' mechanism that ensures the motor runs in the correct direction, usually a simple ratchet and pall device that stops the rotor if it tries to go the wrong way.

I've got a real backward clock - numbers are reversed and it runs backwards - and yes you see correct time in a mirror. Actually I'm so used to mine I can read it with or without a mirror!
