Jigsaw will cut 3mm ally very easily, perhaps cut the more intricate/tight internals on the scrollsaw, and finish off with a file.

Nice job on both parts.

I must admit, I didn't think of cutting any of it with a jigsaw...
I also think the blades Hobbies recommended to me were the problem. Even being VERY careful, they would break after 5-10mm.
